OK, file attached.

The attached code hangs for me with the same backtrace as sent earlier.
If you remove the #define USE_CLIP at the top, it will define out a
_set_clip call, and things start working (well, it starts doing
things... working might be a bit exaggerated for something that has no
real purpose :-) ). Please note that the _set_clip call might make
absolutely no sense, I wasn't trying to get a specific effect when I
introduced it...
