[clutter] A little whining about version numbers

This is building with the main trunk of SVN clutter, r2452.

* Building clutter works fine. It installs into
/usr/local/include/clutter-0.7/clutter

* Building clutter-cairo works fine. It installs into
/usr/local/include/clutter-0.6/clutter-cairo. But obviously depends on
clutter-0.7. Grumble.

I see in clutter-cairo.pc:

Requires: clutter-0.6 cairo

This presents some problems when trying to build something (the git
head of the new WebKit work, for instance), since it finds
clutter-cairo-0.7 OK but it can't find the clutter-0.6 dependency that
clutter-cairo has.

I find myself constantly arguing with project dependencies with
Clutter (changing configure.ac to be 0.6 or 0.7 etc.) I think someone
else pointed this out also.

Am I missing something philosophically here? Is this just a simple .pc
error in clutter-cairo?

Blake
